Student Spotlight: Aditya PATURI

After obtaining a bachelor in engineering and a master in management at EDHEC Business School, Aditya decided to pursue a specialisation in data analysis, a field that he has discovered during an internship and realised it was meant for him.

He joined the Applied MSc in Data Analytics programme on apprenticeship because he wanted to challenge himself by following our programme and applying this knowledge in his company. Here is the student spotlight on Aditya Paturi.

Can you tell us more about your background before applying at DSTI?

In 2020, I completed my master’s in management at EDHEC Business School, France. Before that I have completed my bachelor’s in engineering from India. During my master I did an internship where I had the opportunity to work on data analysis. Here I learnt new concepts in the data, techniques in analysing the data and I have realised that working in data is the right position for me.

Why did you choose the apprenticeship learning mode?

In today’s competitive world, learning the skills in school and applying them later during professional experience is very challenging. To immerse myself in cutting-edge technology, I was interested in something where I can practically explore the skills myself but also have the experts’ guidance. DSTI apprenticeship track is really what I was looking for.

How did you find your company?

DSTI & CFA Afia helped me during my search. CFA Afia is the partner of DSTI who provides expert guidance for the students who are looking for a suitable company. CFA Afia conducts periodic workshop, seminars, training courses to improve the interview skills of students. DSTI also provide updated information regarding new job postings. Thanks to CFA Afia & DSTI I could immerse myself in a company which I really like now.

What are your missions in your company?

I am following the Applied MSc Data Analytics courses. My job description aligns with the course I am preparing. I help my team members in the company with data mining, data cleaning and data analysis. I also create the reports using a data dashboard and present it to my managers.

How would you describe your experience at DSTI so far?

DSTI is a sophisticated institute. They absolutely care about the students. They help every student identify their skills and push them further. The face-to-face mentoring sessions are really helpful to assess our competencies. They also help us to share mutual values with the company. DSTI tries to help every student at any time in any possible case.
