In-classroom capture of your professor and your fellow students: you never feel lonely!
Professors and on-campus students are equiped with mics: no lone teacher speaking!
Not only our touchscreens are hyper-precise, but you can interact on them. From home.
DSTI Professors can connect to a student's computer, anywhere in the world, and assist.
All students have access to DSTI Treasure cove: O'Reilly, commercial software, cloud platforms, GPUs, and more.
Everything is recorded & transcripted, we mean it: video and audio streams, blackboard, live assistance, the lot!
With DSTI staff being made of plenty of scientists & engineers, we don’t make a big meal of a Learning Management System. But ok, you may want a few words about DSTI Learn!
For over 16 years, our partner CRCC Asia created culturally conscious, purposeful programmes for those looking to explore and connect with Asia, and now, in Europe. They are experts in designing immersive experiences that highlight the region’s culture, history, and way of life.
CRCC Asia international internship programmes across the globe to help you further you career. Applying to intern abroad has never been easier!
Since 2008, more than 9,000 alumni from over 150 countries have taken part in their global internship programmes throughout South Korea, Japan, India, Vietnam and Thailand, and now Europe, with Paris, London and Berlin.
CRCC Asia 3-month internships, for which DSTI students receive special rebates, are the most recommended, valuable and exciting ways for international online students to gain their professional experience and validate their education.
Let’s start with the easiest part: DSTI School of Engineering, as a French Higher Education establishment institution, can sign an internship agreement located anywhere in the world.
In such a case, and just like with the CRCC Asia option, the specificities of the French Labour Laws will not apply: only the relevancy of your internship activities will be subject to the go-ahead of DSTI Direction of Studies.
The advantages of this choice could be that (i) you have already gained experience, you know how to navigate your country’s job market, and (ii), you can do an internship up to six months, developing more focus on your activities, instead of a more global approach mixing the discovery of a new country and environment, as with CRCC Asia.
Being a DSTI student also involves a personalised follow-up on your internship preparation and hunt, by reviews of CV, Cover Letter, public profiles (Linked, GitHub, etc.). As always, online students are supported exactly the same as if on-campus.
Typically an Intel or compatible Core i7 as minimum, no Mac Apple Silicon systems!
16GB is the minimum, for all the DSTI software treasure cove and datasets given!
1TB SSD is the minimum, for the same reason of installing all your supplies.
Three. One for the video feeds, one for the shared content and one as your working environment, which should be a touch screen.
Most laptops now have excellent built-in cameras. If you're on a desktop, get an external one, 1080p minimum.
Sound is key to success of live online learning. Whatever you prefer (earbuds, headsets, etc.) but good & comfortable!
Fiber Internet is the prime choice. A strict minimum of 20Mbps download and 10Mbps upload, which is xDSL.
4G or 5G with a data plan allowing you to tether the phone to your computer, as an Internet connection backup.
An Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) is an excellent investment to avoid any surprise during that key moment in a live class!
