The Bachelor route is open to applicants coming from secondary education, with a careful review of academic records, relevant subjects, English readiness and motivation. ### Secondary education background Applicants should provide secondary education academic records, such as the International Baccalaureate or an equivalent to the French Baccalaureate. ### Science and technology grades DSTI pays particular attention to mathematics, science and technology subjects, with a general guideline of at least 60% in relevant subjects. ### English readiness The programme is taught in English. Applicants are expected to demonstrate at least a B2 level or equivalent evidence assessed by Admissions. ### Motivation and interview Admissions looks for seriousness, curiosity, capacity for sustained work and a clear interest in computing and engineering foundations. Grade guideline ### Relevant subjects matter more than a single global average. As a general guideline, DSTI looks for at least 60% in relevant scientific and technological subjects during the penultimate year and first semester of the final year. The final decision is based on the full file, the local grading context and the admission interview. 60% general minimum guideline in relevant scientific and technological subjects Local grading systems are interpreted carefully with trusted local references when needed Fit motivation, maturity and capacity for technical progress are reviewed with the academic record 04 — Direct entry into Year 2 ## A selective route for applicants who have already started higher education. Direct entry into Year 2 may be considered for Bachelor applicants who have completed, or are in the process of finishing, a first year of Bachelor-level education in computer science and/or engineering. Eligibility principle ### Relevant first-year Bachelor studies The previous year must be coherent with the BSc Computer Science & Engineering route. Direction of Studies reviews the academic file, content already studied and the applicant’s readiness for DSTI Year 2. Assessment ### DSTI Year 1 examinations Applicants take a selection of DSTI Year 1 examinations online on DSTI Learn, the school’s Moodle-based LMS, with computer-vision enabled proctoring and Safe Exam Browser. Decision standard ### 60% minimum pass grade Direction of Studies is sovereign in granting direct entry. The committee looks at applicants achieving DSTI’s minimum pass grade of 60%. The syllabus for each exam is provided to applicants. BSc CSE — Direct entry in Year 2 ### Required examinations Applicants have 30 days to complete the required exams upon application. A supplemental €50 direct-entry examination fee is required and credited towards tuition fees upon admission. - Computer Systems Architecture & Operation Systems - Relational Database Management Systems - Introduction to Computer Networks - Mathematics Harmonisation 05 — Academic fit ## Previous computing is welcome, not required. The BSc is a foundation programme. DSTI welcomes applicants with prior computing exposure, while also considering strong science and technology profiles who are ready to learn computing seriously from the ground up. Mathematics ### Quantitative foundations Comfort with mathematical reasoning, problem solving and structured thinking supports the first year of study. Science & technology ### Technical curiosity Strong performance in scientific or technological subjects is a good signal for the engineering direction of the programme. Computing ### Useful, not mandatory Programming or computing experience is welcomed, but the Bachelor route is structured to build core computing knowledge progressively. Study habits ### Serious rhythm DSTI looks for students who can commit to regular work, technical practice, projects, English-taught classes and professional development. 06 — Fees, partners and scholarships ## Application fee, partner exemption and scholarship review. The strongest applications make academic background, English readiness, motivation and study-mode choice easy to understand. Academic records Secondary school transcripts, diploma or provisional evidence, grading scale where available. Identity and CV Passport or identity document, plus a short CV or academic profile when available. English evidence IELTS, Duolingo, school evidence or equivalent information when requested by Admissions.
